Welcome to the realm of Admin Management & User Permissions on the B-Line portal. This isn't just about who gets in and who stays out; it's about creating an environment where every user has just the right level of access. It’s like giving someone the keys to a room - but only the rooms they need to enter.

Understanding User Types

There are 3 different user types:

  • Admin: Has access to the B-Line portal. There are 3 admin roles with varying levels of permissions: account, building, and organization admins.

  • Occupant: A user that doesn't have access to the portal but can be granted access keys to your buildings.

  • Visitor: A person visiting your building.

Creating a New Admin: A Step-by-Step Process

  1. From the portal's side-menu, select Users > Admin
  2. Click the "+ Create Admin" button
  3. Fill in the details in the dialog


Similarly, you can create occupants or visitors from the portal.


To modify an existing user, you can find the user by using the search bar at the top of the page and clicking the "Edit" button on the user's row.
