On the B-Line portal, multiple types of users exists: Admins, Occupants and Visitors. Below is an explanation of these roles.

Admins

Admins are users who have administrative rights. They have access to the portal (https://app.bline.io/) to manage amenities and view space analytics, amongst other portal features. Admins can manage (create, edit, or delete) occupants and visitors.

Admin Roles

There are different types of admin roles, in descending order of hierarchy:

  • Account
    • This is the most powerful role in terms of access rights.
    • Each customer is assigned an account user which can manage their buildings and their organizations.
    • Account role users can manage users and user access.
    • Account role users can create and manage resources, bookings and view graphs for occupancy tracking.
  • Building
    • Users with a Building Role within a client account can oversee individual buildings. Each of these users has the authority to manage the users, access and organizations associated with their respective building.
    • Building role users can perform similar tasks as Account role users but at their building level only.
  • Organization
    • A building can contain multiple organizations, and users with an Organization Role are responsible for managing one of these organizations.
    • The primary function of Organization Role users is to edit occupant details; they do not have any other administrative capabilities.

Occupants

Occupants are permanent B-Line users who can book amenities and receive digital access cards via our B-Line mobile apps. You should create an occupant for any user that you want to have access to your building's doors.

Visitors

Visitors are B-Line users without digital access cards. The visitors list is useful to understand who is visiting your building and when.
